Job hunting in Webb City -tips?

Born and raised here. The unemployment rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. It's a a small town city with about 13,139 people. Median household income is $61,502, which feels about average for the area. Average temperature is around 57--F, so the weather is moderate. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What do you all think? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 5 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Lakewood area are solid. Kids love it here.

Used to live on the Maple Ridge side, now on the North side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
