I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. Poverty rate is 41.7%, which is higher than I expected. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 2 years here, that's my honest assessment.

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in The Heights area are solid. Kids love it here.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Greenfield for 15 years. Moved from Phoenix for weather. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is improving. We bought in 2024 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.
**Employment:**
government is strong here. hospitality is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are pricey for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
the quality of life is solid. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have biking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Greenfield schools are surprisingly good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Nightlife is limited. Limited high-paying job options. And school system can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 8/10. Hope this helps!. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
