Hey everyone, I've been here for 11 years and Homes are going for about $183,600 on average. Poverty rate is 4.4%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Any advice would be great.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Cedar Grove. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Bought a house here in 2020 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone down slightly since then.
