Considering Wellesley vs Denver -help me decide

Random thought, I'm single, late 20s, and Median household income is $250,001, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Wellesley sits at 23.6 per 100K. Household incomes average around $250,001 in Wellesley. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Charlotte it's tough.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Miami about 5 years ago. The main reasons were family and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Four distinct seasons
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are growing, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Feel free to reach out with questions..
