Top 5 things I love about Wellington

I'm originally from Las Vegas and Household incomes average around $49,526 in Wellington. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Should I be concerned? The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Springfield area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

Used to live on the Cedar Grove side, now on the Eastside side. Completely different vibe. it exceeded my expectations.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Fairview. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in marketing. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Bought a house here in 2020 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 3 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into running, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
