Best neighborhoods to rent in Wellington?

Random thought, Rent is about $468/month for a decent place. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Worth the trade-offs? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Used to live on the Meadowbrook side, now on the The Heights side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 8 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

Came here for weather and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The food scene is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
