Hi all, My family moved here when I was a kid. Crime rate is something to consider -Wells Branch sits at 110.7 per 100K. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Am I wrong here? Looking forward to hearing from you all.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- The walkability scene is average
The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Property taxes are high
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for singles. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want safety, then yeah this place is great. But if traffic matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's improved dramatically in recent years. The only thing I'd watch out for is traffic. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

I work in education here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is hit or miss. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Westside) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Boston, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Road conditions need improvement.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Atlanta it's pretty good.
