Job market in Wenatchee for tech?

Random thought, My family moved here when I was a kid. You can expect to pay around $1,194 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Wenatchee sits at 179.6 per 100K. Rent is about $1,194/month for a decent place. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What are your go-to spots? Thanks for reading. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a electrician, 38, moved here 8 years ago from Seattle. I've lived in Lakewood and Old Town, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Good schools in most areas
2. Nice parks and green spaces
3. Close to major attractions
4. The people are generally improving - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Traffic during rush hour is rough
2. Dating scene is rough
3. The safety situation is manageable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Lakewood: Great for singles. challenging vibes, walkable.
- Old Town: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Seattle, everything felt decent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are stable. Gas is stable. You can live comfortably on $70K-$80K here.

**Final verdict:**
Happy to answer more specific questions.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
