Anyone regret moving to Wentzville?

Hey folks, Been living here since 2023. Crime rate is something to consider -Wentzville sits at 205.2 per 100K. Median household income is $111,409, which feels pretty solid for the area. The weather takes some getting used to. Is this normal for Wentzville?

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value food scene, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely excellent and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Eastside) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Nashville, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from San Diego about 5 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good healthcare facilities
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are manageable, gas is pretty good.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
