Hey everyone, Been living here since 2016. Household incomes average around $77,750 in West Athens. With a population of 9,064, West Athens is a small town. Poverty rate is 14.6%, which is around average. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Does this match your experience? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
