Thinking about relocating to West Chicago from San Francisco

Hi all, We have two kids and Homes are going for about $306,500 on average. Household incomes average around $100,568 in West Chicago. Median household income is $100,568, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 7.4%, which is concerning. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Should I be concerned? TIA! I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
