West Chicago is underrated, change my mind

Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. Poverty rate is 9.7%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $306,500, which seems about average. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Has anyone dealt with this? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

I work in manufacturing here and it was the best decision I ever made. The job market for my field is average. No regrets on my end..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
