Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a remote worker and Median household income is $98,570, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 3.9%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $712,300 on average. Household incomes average around $98,570 in West Covina. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. What are your go-to spots? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.
I've been here 14 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is challenging.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've lived in West for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- The traffic scene is tough
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Definitely worth checking out..
