Biggest downsides of living in West Falls Church?

Been meaning to ask this. Military spouse here. Crime rate is something to consider -West Falls Church sits at 130.5 per 100K. Household incomes average around $131,236 in West Falls Church. Poverty rate is 5.2%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $2,140/month for a decent place. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. Has anyone dealt with this? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 8 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've been living here for 12 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The pet-friendliness is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.
