If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is underrated in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 4 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good internet infrastructure
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are competitive, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 5 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
