Alright, My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $391,200, which seems about average. Median household income is $125,616, which feels pretty solid for the area. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 9 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Downtown. It's surprisingly good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in finance. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally better than expected. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is food scene. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.
