Thinking about relocating to West Hartford from St. Louis

Hello, I'm a college student here and Household incomes average around $125,616 in West Hartford. You can expect to pay around $1,665 for rent here. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Thoughts? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Minneapolis about 10 years ago. The main reasons were weather and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are developing, gas is hit or miss.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The school system is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
