Studio apartments in West Haven -options?

Curious what people think. It's a a smaller city city with about 55,147 people. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Let me know your thoughts. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Came here for family and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The housing market is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Eastside. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in finance. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

No regrets on my end..

Bought a house here in 2022 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. the quality of life is solid.
