What to expect moving to West Haven?

Hello, You can expect to pay around $1,389 for rent here. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The cost of living is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from New York about 1 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are developing, gas is decent.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Definitely worth checking out..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
