Things West Hempstead needs to improve

Hey everyone, My partner and I are Homes are going for about $626,100 on average. Median household income is $160,280, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Does this match your experience? The city has invested a lot in new development.

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 14 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
