West Islip is underrated, change my mind

OK so Been living here since 2009. You can expect to pay around $2,613 for rent here. Median household income is $171,045, which feels pretty solid for the area. Household incomes average around $171,045 in West Islip. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Anyone in a similar situation? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Public transit is pretty good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The food scene is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..
