Is it worth buying in West Jefferson?

Homes are going for about $217,900 on average. Household incomes average around $54,306 in West Jefferson. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. What do you all think? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Used to live on the Fairview side, now on the East side. Completely different vibe. it's improved dramatically in recent years.
