Hey, I'm single, late 20s, and Crime rate is something to consider -West Jordan sits at 224.4 per 100K. Household incomes average around $103,960 in West Jordan. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Am I overthinking this? Appreciate any input. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.
I've been here 1 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is decent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a chef who relocated here from San Diego about 5 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Active local events and festivals
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are manageable, gas is solid.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Hope this helps!.
