Is West Jordan worth it salary-wise?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm retired and Household incomes average around $103,960 in West Jordan. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Looking forward to hearing from you all. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Midtown) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Charlotte, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Road conditions need improvement.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
