Thinking about relocating to West Jordan from Seattle

We're a young couple and It's a a mid-size city city with about 116K people. With a population of 116K, West Jordan is a mid-size city. Household incomes average around $103,960 in West Jordan. Poverty rate is 4.8%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely decent and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (The Heights) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Public transit is excellent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.
