Hey folks, I'm a college student here and The median home value here is around $631,300, which is pretty steep. Poverty rate is 1.6%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What do you all think? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Bought a house here in 2017 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Pine Hills. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in retail you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: tough. Tons of options if you like craft beer.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community vibe is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in South. It's underrated for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in retail. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, the quality of life is solid. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.
I've been here 9 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is decent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
