Pros and cons of West New York after 3 years
Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a 52-year-old project manager and You can expect to pay around $1,607 for rent here. Homes are going for about $410,200 on average. Average temperature is around 55--F, so the weather is moderate. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
Pros:

- Great weather
- Growing food scene
- Low crime in most areas
Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Limited public transit
- Rising rent prices
- Boring for young people
- Far from major airports
What do you all think? The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.
