Not sure if this has been asked before, but Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. Median household income is $65,782, which feels about average for the area. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Looking forward to hearing from you all. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is safety. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.

Public transit is excellent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Pittsburgh it's challenging.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a project manager who relocated here from San Diego about 15 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Property taxes are high
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are stable, gas is decent.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Happy to answer more specific questions..
