Couple moving to West Palm Beach from out of state

I'm a teacher here and The median home value here is around $369,800, which seems about average. Median household income is $69,261, which feels about average for the area. With a population of 120K, West Palm Beach is a mid-size city. It's a a mid-size city city with about 120K people. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Is this normal for West Palm Beach? The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Used to live on the Greenfield side, now on the Oak Park side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 13 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.
