West Palm Beach is underrated, change my mind

I keep seeing people overlook West Palm Beach when talking about great places to live. With a population of 119,508, it's big enough to have everything you need but small enough to feel like a community. Cost of living is reasonable for what you get. The weather is great — warm most of the year with an average of 76F.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.

Coming from Philadelphia, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are about the same.

Respectfully disagree about the job market. In my experience, it really depends on your lifestyle.

Check out the Maple Heights area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

Downtown is overrated and overpriced. The suburbs offer way better value.

As someone who moved here from Miami, I can confirm most of this. The job opportunities surprised me the most.

Good summary. I'd rate it higher personally — maybe 7/10.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Highland Park and Downtown are perfectly safe.
