Anyone else feel this way? Median household income is $58,825, which feels about average for the area. Rent is about $1,731/month for a decent place. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I work in real estate here and the quality of life is solid. The job market for my field is solid. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Boston it's solid.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a pharmacist, 44, moved here 3 years ago from Miami. I've lived in Pine Hills and Midtown, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Good schools in most areas
2. Lots of new development happening
3. Close to major attractions
4. The people are generally excellent - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Traffic during rush hour is rough
2. Road conditions need improvement
3. The housing market situation is reasonable and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Pine Hills: Great for retirees. decent vibes, walkable.
- Midtown: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Miami, everything felt improving. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are pricey. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $50K-$90K here.
**Final verdict:**
Definitely worth checking out.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
