Curious what people think. I'm originally from Kansas City and Median household income is $38,641, which feels on the lower side for the area. Homes are going for about $109,800 on average. You can expect to pay around $1,086 for rent here. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
