Is West Sacramento good for remote workers?

First post here. Just moved here 17 months ago and Crime rate is something to consider -West Sacramento sits at 389.9 per 100K. Rent is about $1,568/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. Thoughts? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want housing market, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Fairview. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in retail. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
