Job market in West Sacramento for tech?
Hello, I'm originally from Albuquerque and Rent is about $1,568/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $497,100, which is pretty steep. Crime rate is something to consider -West Sacramento sits at 389.9 per 100K. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Is this normal for West Sacramento? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
