First post here. Been living here since 2023. Poverty rate is 4.0%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Fairview. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Italian.
