Thinking about relocating to West Seneca from Minneapolis
So, I'm a teacher here and The median home value here is around $215,000, which is actually reasonable. Homes are going for about $215,000 on average. You can expect to pay around $1,040 for rent here. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Has anyone dealt with this? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Active local events and festivals
- The dating scene scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Hope this helps!.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Decent public transit for the size
- The weather scene is solid
The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Definitely worth checking out..

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 7 years here, that's my honest assessment.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to Denver it's hit or miss.
