West Seneca is underrated, change my mind

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We're a young couple and Crime rate is something to consider -West Seneca sits at 429.4 per 100K. Homes are going for about $215,000 on average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Would love some local perspective. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Used to live on the Midtown side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is better than expected in most areas.
