Not sure if this has been asked before, but Military spouse here. It's a a mid-size city city with about 138K people. The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Any help is appreciated. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I've lived in Sunset for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Active local events and festivals
- Diverse dining options
- The housing market scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. Definitely worth checking out..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.
I've been here 2 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
