Working remotely from West Valley City — my experience

I've been working remotely from West Valley City for 1 years now. Here's my take:

The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.

Cost of living: pretty reasonable
Internet: Decent, getting better with new providers
Coworking spaces: Limited but the library works in a pinch

If you're looking for a place to WFH, West Valley City is a solid choice.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Oakwood and University District are perfectly safe.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Oakwood. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.

Great post! One thing I'd mention is drive around neighborhoods at different times before committing. Makes a big difference.

Coming from Denver, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are cheaper.

Coming from San Francisco, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are about the same.
