Thinking about relocating to Westborough from Minneapolis
Not sure if this has been asked before, but Been living here since 2013. Median household income is $100,037, which feels pretty solid for the area. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Has anyone dealt with this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The weather is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

I work in retail here and it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market for my field is average. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.
I've been here 6 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is underrated.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Austin about 10 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- Decent public transit for the size
Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are growing, gas is pretty good.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'm a writer who relocated here from Baltimore about 9 years ago. The main reasons were family and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Lots of new development happening
- Four distinct seasons
Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are competitive, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been here 13 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is excellent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
