Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 5 years ago. The main reasons were weather and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are pricey, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Feel free to reach out with questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Greenfield. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in finance. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 12 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are developing, gas is solid.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Good luck with whatever you decide..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in North. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in government. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Definitely worth checking out..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 9 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Atlanta about 1 years ago. The main reasons were weather and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are stable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Greenfield area are tough. Kids love it here.
