Is Westerly getting better or worse?

Random thought, Median household income is $82,333, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Tampa about 5 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Lots of new development happening
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are growing, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Good luck with whatever you decide..

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much stable but now it's tough.

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.
