Easton best-worst

What surprised you most about Westfield?

OK so Poverty rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $1,526 for rent here. The median home value here is around $391,900, which seems about average. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Low crime in most areas
- Easy commute

Cons:
- Hot summers
- Cold winters
- Boring for young people
Would love some local perspective. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in The Heights area are solid. Kids love it here.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Highland for 4 years. Moved from Baltimore for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is hit or miss. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
retail is strong here. legal is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are developing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's improved dramatically in recent years. The outdoor scene is better than expected - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Highland schools are surprisingly good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Can feel isolated. Bugs and humidity in summer. And cultural scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 8/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's improved dramatically in recent years. The only thing I'd watch out for is public transit. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it exceeded my expectations. Good luck with whatever you decide..
