Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Happy to answer more specific questions..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 5 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are affordable, gas is average.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Denver it's better than expected.
