OK so I'm originally from Atlanta and Rent is about $1,064/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $1,064 for rent here. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Is this normal for Westfield? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a electrician who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 9 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are competitive, gas is excellent.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much established but now it's hit or miss.

Bought a house here in 2021 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone about the same since then.
