Random thought, My family moved here when I was a kid. Rent is about $1,113/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $176,500 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Does this match your experience? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
