Planning a move to Westland -neighborhoods?

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a college student here and Median household income is $62,216, which feels about average for the area. You can expect to pay around $1,113 for rent here. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Should I be concerned? TIA! There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 13 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into running, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
