First post here. I'm originally from Dallas and The median home value here is around $176,500, which is actually reasonable. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. The unemployment rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Is this normal for Westland? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good.
