Alright, I've been here for 9 years and With a population of 90,147, Westminster is a smaller city. Rent is about $2,100/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $82,686 in Westminster. Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I wrong here? The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much reasonable but now it's pretty good.

I've lived in Fairview for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- The job market scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited shopping options
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Charlotte it's decent.
