Raising a family in Westminster -thoughts?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but The unemployment rate is 4.5%, which is about average. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Worth the trade-offs?

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Fairview area are improving. Kids love it here.

Used to live on the Uptown side, now on the Eastside side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Westside for 14 years. Moved from Tampa for school. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is underrated. We bought in 2023 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
real estate is strong here. marketing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have national forests within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Westside schools are pretty good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Chain restaurants dominate. And public transit can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 7/10. Hope this helps!. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
